Happy Thursday! I ended up taking the week off from blogging to enjoy Las Vegas (round 2). We got to celebrate the marriage of Jake’s aunt. What a fun weekend! If we were not asleep, we were exploring. Gosh, 4th year of medical school is amazing! We actually got a lot of photos this time, so stay tuned for a some blog posts about Vegas (thank you to Jake for taking pics and not complaining. He’s the best!). For now I want to share one of my favorite areas in Oklahoma City, The Paseo Arts District, as well as a fun, casual summer look.

The Paseo Arts District
I get a lot of questions about what to do in Oklahoma City and it made me realize I don’t have many blog posts about it (don’t worry, I plan to do a full guide to OKC before we move). Jake and I recently took what is most likely our last visit to The Paseo before we move. OKC has really stolen my heart and has been the perfect place to start married life as a couple. Although it’s not a destination kind of place, it is really fun. As I mentioned in one of my recent posts, one of my favorite places in OKC is The Paseo. It is a quaint little art district nestled in between downtown and uptown (32nd Street) right near Oklahoma City University. I love it because it makes you feel like you’re not in Oklahoma. It features beautiful rainbow buildings, fabulous art galleries with art work by local OKC artists, and has some amazing places to grab a drink or some food. It reminds me of Sante Fe and Charleston’s architecture.
I chose to wear this summery look to complement the bright colors of the buildings. I love the red ruffles of the skirt and decided to add gingham heels because gingham screams summer.
What to do in Paseo:
- Visit art galleries
- Grab drinks
- Eat at some great local restaurants:Paseo Grill (amazing drinks)
-
- Picasso in Paseo (they have a cute outdoor patio)
- Sauced on Paseo and Scratch Kitchen are on my list too
I really hope Birmingham has a similar area. You can learn more about The Paseo Arts District here.

I have been seeing this purse everywhere, and honestly, it is confirmation that I need to go ahead and get it. I found one in white, and it just calls me. Beautiful outfit!

Ohhhh the white would be amazing. Yes you need it 😉 I have really enjoyed this bag and use it all of the time. Mine is a cheaper version than the designer pen too. Thanks girl friend.
