Happy Thursday! As our time in OKC quickly comes to an end, we are trying to visit our favorite places one more time and cross them off our Tour de OKC bucket list. Yesterday we went to take a few photos, since I’m really behind. #bloggerproblems Our pictures yesterday soon turned into an unplanned dinner date. We usually don’t eat out during the weekdays, but we decided to since we don’t have much time left here and we were close to one of our favorite local restaurants.
We explored The Paseo District then headed to Guyutes in Uptown for dinner. If you’re ever in OKC, you have to try the Tequila Sunfryz! They’re seriously the best and we’re so sad that that was probably our last time having them while living in OKC.
Being able to do things like this during 4th year reminds me how blessed we are. Our first few years of marriage, Jake was super busy with med school and getting dates in was hard. One of our marriage goals during pre-marital counseling was to have a weekly date night. We have definitely been pretty successful with this goal, but also getting to do things during the week is the best. I know his residency will be hard, but I’m glad to have this time time now.
About This Look:
I wore this outfit on Easter in Vegas. You may have seen in this post here that we decided to skip the camera during that weekend trip. I finally got around to shooting this look and the skirt is finally online to shop now. The skirt has a ton of colors in it, so I pulled out some of the hot pink with a statement necklace. This skirt is one of my favorites of the season because it looks a lot more expensive than it really is.

Tequila Sunfryz are my jam! They make my stomach hurt but they are soooo worth it.

They’re amazing. Oh gosh same, but very worth it.
That skirt is the cutest. And how nice! I haven’t had a weekday date with my husband in ages. Might be time to take a day off!

Thanks, Kate. It was so nice. We haven’t either.
I love the spontaneous date nights in the middle of the week! It’s usually not as busy out and is such a nice break from the mid-week chaos. Your outfit is so adorable for Spring, too! Absolutely love it!

That is so true! We had zero wait at dinner which was awesome. For weekends we have to almost always have reservations to get into places here. Thank you. Have a nice day.
That skirt is amazing. Perfect for early Spring!

You should come visit. It’s so fun.
Oooh I really wish I would’ve had your recommendations when we were in OKC. I wanna try Tequila Sunfryz! And this look is so cute, Courtney. I just love your skirt.

You will have to come back! Yes they are amazing. Thanks, girl!
Hi Courtney, aww it will be so bittersweet the next few weeks/months. The realisation you are leaving your current city to the excitement of a new one. It is good to do a bucket list of restaurants, you also should plan a return trip after you get settled a year or so in Birmingham. Being spontaneous is wonderful! We dont do it as a couple right now , harder with 4 kids but I love you 2 do! The skirt is so fun and colorful, perfect for spring. We have not had spring yet , we have 10 inches on the ground as I type and its STILL falling!! We were housebound most oif the weekend but did make it to church this morning. I hope you are enjoying your time in Vegas and the wedding, take care Dear, hugs, Terri xo.
