It’s Monday, so back to work it is. We had one of the best weekends we’ve had in a while. Jake was in between rotations, so it was amazing. I was seriously wondering if this is what it is like for normal couples. We usually get to do a quick dinner date most weeks, but after that it’s really the only time I get to spend with him.
On Friday we met up at the gym after work and then Jake grilled out. It was so amazing to not be the one cooking dinner for once. On Saturday we slept in a little and I went to one of my friends that I went to college with’s baby shower. She is having twins; a boy and a girl. How perfect is that? I wore this little pink top and a black skirt that I’ve had forever. I wanted to look lady-like, so I paired it with pearls.

After the shower we went to dinner in a fun area called The Paseo District. It almost feels like you’re not in OKC anymore. It’s super cute and artsy. We went to Paseo Grill. It was dark in the restaurant and there were curtains in front of each table, which created a romantic and intimate vibe. It was a great pick!
I wore this classic little black and white number. It was chilly this weekend, so I grabbed some tights and my favorite little A-line black leather skirt. I got this fun white cropped bell sleeve recently and have already worn it a couple of times. It’s so cute and it incorporates the bell sleeve trend. The back is also super cute! When I was supposed to be grocery shopping, I found this cute silver statement necklace. I had been eyeing a very similar one on BaubleBar’s website, but it was a little out of my price range. When I found this one I had to have it. I even told my husband where I got the necklace at dinner and he was very surprised.
On Sunday, we did a late brunch then gym and errands. I am so glad my hubby will be on electives the next month. We have been brain storming cheap dates because I feel like we’re going to spend too much money otherwise.
What did you do this weekend?
