As our big move to Birmingham, Alabama quickly approaches, Jake and I are making the most of our time in Oklahoma City. We have made a list of places in OKC we must go back one last time and places we HAVE to try before we move. I have mentioned it in previous posts, but we are calling it “the Tour de OKC”. One place I’ve wanted to go to for almost 4 years is Clauren Ridge Vineyard & Winery in Edmond. I even had the perfect winery outfit planned!
Jake and I are both share a love for wine, so what’s better than having a day date at a local winery? We finally made a trip to Clauren Ridge this weekend and it felt like a mini-getaway. Although it was a far Uber ride being in North Edmond, it was worth exploring.
Of course I had to dress for the occasion. When I ordered this dress, I specifically ordered with a winery or a picnic in mind. I was glad to finally get to wear it! Jake joked around and said this outfit reminded him of something Tahani from the show, “The Good Place” would wear. I am pretty flattered about that, as I love her character’s style. The gingham pattern is perfect all spring and summer long. This makes it the perfect winery outfit. I styled mine with a hat, so I could protect my skin as I knew we would be outside for several hours. I also added a beautiful mint blue necklace and earring set so I would have a pop of color. This literally might be my favorite shoot ever. (This dress would be perfect for Easter Sunday, work or church also since it has a modest design). Although our favorite wine, Cabernet Sauvignon, hadn’t been bottled yet for the season, we enjoyed some Syrah. It has a little hint of sweetness at the end. We had such a blast trying this cute little winery. Dates are what I look forward to all week. I fully believe you should date your spouse.
