Mixing Neutrals For Fall

Shop My Outfit:

Normally I am all about brightly colored outfits, but sometimes there’s nothing more chic than a neutral outfit for fall. I am currently in the process of trying to update my wardrobe with better basics, especially after my body has changed some after having Scarlett. When I saw this Chicwish faux leather skirt, I knew I needed it for my wardrobe. A good caramel brown colored skirt is something I find myself reaching for a lot and mine from before I had Scarlett are a little tight in the hips. I did size up per the sizing chart and I liked the fit. I didn’t want it to be too tight in the hips like my other fall mini skirts. I plan to add tights or tall boots under this skirt soon when it cools down.

I loved pairing this skirt with a black top, but it would also look good with a cream or fall color, like burgundy or teal. I styled mine with some brown heels for early fall. A skirt like this would also look good with a bodysuit because it gives a more smooth look.

We just got back from Asheville, NC this weekend, where we did a little fall vacation. I can’t wait to share some photos from our trip soon. We had a lot of fun and cannot believe we are moving to North Carolina this summer. Asheville is about 4 hours from Raleigh, and I hope to visit Asheville again around Christmas.

I get how your body changed some after Scarlett ! It will be fun to pick out some new clothing items though.. the faux leather skirt is a nice statement piece and looks well with the black top. The brown heels compliment the look perfectly, and adding tights will be a nice feature too. I am glad you got to take a trip to NC and check out some of its highlights before your move. Have a great day, Terri xo.
