Happy Wednesday! I cannot believe Christmas has come and gone already. I felt like it went way more quickly this year, which is why I am just now posting a home tour. Better late than never, right? We had a wonderful Christmas spent with my family, and I realized I never shared a tour of our home decorated for Christmas, nor had I shown a few home improvements my dad and Jake worked on over Thanksgiving weekend.

We had a couple of other projects on our list, and over Thanksgiving my dad and Jake completed them. My dad installed the chandelier in the breakfast room. Before, it was just an art light that hardly gave off any light. Eating dinner during the winter (when the sun goes down in Birmingham before 5 p.m.) was like eating dinner in a dark cave. Now, the room is very bright. My dad and Jake also built this shelf above the microwave. Before it was set up for a TV mount, but Jake and I decided we didn’t want a TV in the kitchen due to how close the main TV is.

Oh my gosh Courtney your home is amazing!! You have turned a house into a home with all the interior designing. I love the furniture and how the couch is a contrast to the chairs on either side. Also that wine cabinet is something I would like to have ! You are stocked I see. Again I like the contrast of the white chairs to the dining table. The kitchen is so lovely, I like the island and the chance to sit at it. A must for our next house! Our patio door curtains are very similar to the ones in your home. The tree is just gorgeous Dear! thanks for showing us your home , you both did great! Christmas was a nice time, more relaxing than other years as our kids are more self sufficient! Happy new year to you both, Terri xoxo.

Thank you so much, Terri! I have had such a blast decorating this home. We really didn’t buy much new furniture except those two navy blue chairs. I mostly just added accent pieces to make it feel different without spending as much money. Haha yes, we have our wine cabinet stocked up. In Oklahoma you could not buy wine at the grocery store until recently and it was very expensive at the liquor store. We have taken advantage of being able to buy wine at the grocery store here. They finally change Oklahomas law too. Our kitchen table was actually a hand me down for Jake’s old boss, so I painted it to make it look new. 🙂 We love having an island. We don’t sit at it much, but we should. I am glad you liked my Christmas decor. It is still mostly up. I am slowly taking it down. I am so glad you had a relaxing Christmas. Xo, Courtney.
