An Honest review of Chicwish + 2022 Valentine’s Day Outfits

Have you seen Chicwish pieces on your favorite bloggers and Facebook ads but wondered if they were for you? I’ve always been drawn to their beautiful, feminine pieces and I myself had this same question. The first time I ordered from them, I’ll have to admit I was a little hesitant. I have now been shopping at Chicwish for over 6 years (I’ve purchased from them myself as a customer and worked with them as a blogger too). I get this question frequently, so I wanted to share my honest thoughts. To be fully transparent, the pieces in this haul were gifted. As always, all opinions are completely honest and my own.

Quality:

One of the biggest questions I’ve gotten about Chicwish is what is the quality? I can honestly say that I’m impressed with the quality, especially for the price point. While I don’t consider Chicwish to be fast fashion (like Amazon clothes), everything I’ve owned from them has held up. I still have some of my first pieces from them, and they still look great a few years later. The pieces are also not see-through and dresses are usually lined, unlike cheap fast fashion brands. I haven’t had trouble with receiving anything with chemical smells, defects or with awkward stitching like some things from Amazon.

Price point:

I think the price point is extremely fair. Full priced dresses are around $70, tops are around $50, etc. They also seem to run sales on things and have coupons. I think the price point is very affordable and I haven’t really seen anything this cute/unique at the same price point.

Sizing:

The sizing is all over the place. My true size is a small and I’ve worn everything from an XS to a L in pieces. I have found that especially some of the mini skirts run really small. You really have to look past the letter size (small, medium, etc,) and go based on your measurements. Each item does have a sizing chart made for the particular item, and I have found the sizing charts are precise. The only times I’ve gotten a size wrong was when I didn’t pay attention to the sizing chart vs. my actual measurements.

Shipping time:

Shipping can be hit or miss. I received some items in this order in less than a week and some took a couple of weeks. It seems like most people are used to Amazon Prime shipping, so you do need to plan if you need something in a hurry.  On average I find orders take 2 weeks to arrive. There are options to pay extra to expedite your order, so I think thats worth it unless you’re in no hurry. I believe most items come abroad and only are some are from the U.S., so thats why the shipping can be slow. I have also noticed one large order of multiple items sometimes come in multiple packages over multiple days. Some of their items are available on Amazon if you’re in a rush, but it’s a pretty small selection.

Return Process:

I have only returned one thing and they offered free returns minus the upgraded shipping cost. The return process was easy to navigate, but it did take a while for my actual refund to come. I was also offered the option to keep the item at a partial refund too.

• Items aren’t overly trendy, they stay in style for several years and the quality holds up
• Mommy and me matching options: Scarlett is finally big enough to wear their clothes and they’re so sweet!
• Beautiful, unique, feminine pieces: All of the pieces are so beautiful, girly and exactly my style.
• Good price point: I think the price point is excellent; it’s hard to find things this cute at the same price point.
• Quality: I’ve been impressed with the quality.
• A select few items are sold on Amazon

Cons:

• Sizing all over the place: you really need to pay attention to the sizing chart
• Slow delivery: there is an option to upgrade though.
• Low stock sometimes: Chicwish is very popular, so things do sell out sometimes. They are good about restocking though.
• Took a while to get a refund: I am assuming the slow refund was because the slow return shipping.

Do you recommend it?

Yes, I have been shopping Chicwish for about 6 years and absolutely LOVE the pieces. Chicwish is one of my favorite brands and I absolutely loved styling these Valentine looks.
