Tailgating across campus, Eskimo Joe’s cheese fries, Thai Cafe, Bullet running across the field at Boone Pickens Stadium after a touchdown, and Limeys...these are just a few of the things that come to mind when I think of an Oklahoma State University Cowboys game day.
In honor of the Cowboys’ first game this week (Thursday), I wanted to share what to wear to a college football game. This look is unique to OSU, but you can change it up based on your teams colors. I will be sharing another gameday look on Thursday that would work for an OU game.
In case you didn’t know, I graduated from OSU. OSU holds a dear place in my heart because it’s where I met my hubby and it’s where he proposed to me. You can read the story here. Being a Texas girl, I never in a million years thought I would be an Okie, but with the right man I have definitely learned to love Oklahoma.
When I think of college football games, I want to be comfortable and casual, and also incorporate my game day colors. OSU games are not quite that dressy, but ladies still do wear dresses. OSU’s main color is orange, so my typical OSU game uniform is a little black dress with a pop of orange jewelry. Knotted dresses are really in right now, so I was very excited to discover Tobi because I found this dress for only $17. It is perfect for a game day, since it’s light weight and comfortable. This dress runs large, I recommend sizing down if you want a more fitted look.
What is your college football team?

Thanks, Marieta! My team colors are orange and black, so I typically go for a black dress and accessorize in orange.
Fabulous Courtney! I love the knotted dress look. . You accessorise so well using the orange in the bracelet and those amazing earrings! Can I be a honary OSU fan? Have a nice evening, hugs, Terri xo.
Thank you so much, Terri! Orange is not my color, since my skin is fair. I love to accessorize in it though. Yes of course <3 I hope your week is off to a nice start.
I love a casual black dress, I have one I’ve lived in for two years and it needs a replacement!!
Me too! I wear mine out so quickly because they’re always on repeat.
Such a cute outfit! Love the earrings!
Thank you so much! I hope you have a great day.
Cute look! I especially love your earrings!
Thank you, Julie! I am all about a pop of color.
Love this outfit! This dress looks so comfortable! Perfect for a football game <3
Thanks, girl! It really is comfortable! I hope your week is going well <3
What a great outfit! So fun adding in colour but staying stylish.
Thank you so much 😘 adding color is my favorite thing to do.
Ahh! I love this outfit! Your earrings are so cute! And goodness, I really need to rethink my game day attire! Haha. You are killing it with these outfits! Weirdly enough, my college didn’t have a football team, technically. Our NFL team, the Packers, were in the same city, and the way contracts worked out apparently we couldn’t have our own team. So, the Packers were “our team.” But it was cool if you were a cheerleader, because then you could cheer at NFL games!
Thank you so much, Lindsey! Your outfits are always amazing. Oh wow that’s so cool that you had a pro team as your team.
Such a perfect outfit for an OSU game!!
Thank you so much
