If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that Jake and I went to Oklahoma and Texas last week. This year for work, Jake has to take his vacation time in full 1 week blocks. Jake had a wedding last weekend in Texas that he was a groomsman in, so he took his first week of vacation to ensure he had that whole weekend off. We split the time between our families in Texas and Oklahoma. Jake’s parents live in a small town not far from Tulsa, and are only about 30 minutes from a place I’ve always wanted to go to: The Pioneer Woman Mercantile.
Location:
The mercantile is located about an hour from Tulsa in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
When To Go:
We went on a Thursday morning around 9 or 10 a.m. and had no wait at the restaurant. I’ve heard if you go on a weekend the lines can be crazy. So if you can go during the week, I highly recommend it!

About The Mercantile:
Known as “The Pioneer Woman”, blogger Ree Drummond’s mercantile features a restaurant, general store and a bakery. I was impressed by how they restored an old building and turned it into something fabulous. The restaurant is very spacious and showcases exposed brick. Of course, I had to be basic and order a pumpkin spice latte. I had the Farmer’s Breakfast (2 eggs, crispy bits breakfast potatoes, bacon, sausage, brown sugar glazed ham, and a biscuit). We also split a blueberry scone. The food was delicious.
Outside of the restaurant is her general store. I absolutely love her style and had fun exploring her store. I loved that she has brands like MacKenzie-Childs and Fiestaware. She has everything from clothing to gifts to fabulous dishes. If we didn’t have to fly back, I probably would’ve come home with some souvenirs. After exploring the general store, a stop upstairs is necessary. There is a bakery and a lot of seats to enjoy your treats. The cupcakes and pastries were amazing. My favorites were the cream cheese danish and key lime cupcake.

Is It Worth It?:
If you live nearby or are visiting the area, it’s worth the visit. It would’ve been worth it to go when we were in OKC, too. I have heard people travel all over the world to visit and I would say that that would not be worth it to come fly in for a special trip unless you’re a huge Pioneer Woman fan. With that being said, I would like to visit again when we’re seeing Jake’s family.
I’ve wanted to go here for forever!! Maybe I’ll convince my mother-in-law and sister-in-law to go for a girl’s day soon.
P.S. LOVE how you styled that cute skirt! Perfect amount of cozy country chic!

Hi Courtney, thanks for taking us to the pioneer Woman mercantile! It is a cute restaurant/ bakery . The farmers breakfast sounds so good and making Me hungry ! I like the baked goods display, who doesn’t ? Such a pretty outfit on you. The skirt is very becoming on you and goes good with the boots and comfy looking sweater. The blanket scarf is a great accent piece and functional for this time of year. Have a nice weekend Dear, Terri xo.

She will definitely need to go visit then. It was such a cute place and the food was excellent. Aww thank you, you’re so sweet. I have been wanting to wear my cowgirl boots for a while, so what better than at The Pioneer Woman Mercantile.
I can totally see why it wouldn’t be worth a cross country trek but since I’m only a few hours away it’s staying on my bucket list! I think it’s a great pit stop to go a little out of the way for on your way to somewhere, too!
