A Little Life Update:
Happy Thursday! What I expected to be just a regular week ended up being an extremely eventful last few days. Tuesday especially was a crazy day! It started off with me running late to a brunch with new friends, and then having an extremely flat tire as I was leaving. I am so grateful that my new friends were able to help me put on my spare tire. I am also so thankful that the tire didn’t blow out or anything.
After all of this craziness and failing to accomplish most of my to-do list, I opened my emails to discover that I was offered the job I had interviewed for on Friday. I gladly accepted! The organization wanted me to start the next day (Wednesday), since the lady leaving would be there to be able to train me some. I haven’t really mentioned much about my job search on here, but I am excited for this new position and know it’s meant to be. I have been searching for the right job since about mid-July and was to the point that I was ready to give up. I am very routine-oriented, and without having a full-time job I was bored and struggling without the regular daily routine a job provides. I had prayed that I would find the right opportunity and I sure did. It’s funny when we are busy making plans that God laughs and unveils his big plan for us. My job is at a ministry here in Alabama. I will be doing a little of everything, ranging from event planning/fundraising, to social media, to fulfilling any administrative needs. I discovered this position through the Bible study I attend for significant others of those in the medical field. In the end, God showed me that everything happens for a reason and that I am where I am supposed to be. With only about 15 hours notice before starting work, I have been scrambling the last couple days. We also had planned to visit Destin this weekend, but sadly due to Hurricane Michael, we will not able to do that. My heart goes out to those affected! We probably plan to stay in Birmingham, so I can get organized. I am still in shock because it happened so fast, but I am so grateful.
Trending For Fall: Overalls
Now on to the fashion: when I ordered this overall dress, I knew it was extremely out of my comfort zone. I love trying new trends, but I had no clue how it would fit or look on me when I was ordering it. Based on the reviews, I saw that this overall dress runs small. I sized up and am so glad! When it arrived, I had to try on so many different pieces to make it my style. In the end, I styled it exactly how I had planned it in my mind. It’s funny how I tried on so many things with it and went to what I had originally planned. I had seen so many ladies wear dresses like this and thought it was so cute. I added the blouse to dress it up and make it more my own style. I felt the other ways I styled it would look good on someone else, but they didn’t feel like me.
What is your favorite trend of fall?
I love that overalls are coming back in style. This is tres chic!

I was a little scared to try overalls, but decided to get out of my comfort zone. They’re fun! My mom said they remind me of something I wore as a kid haha.
I feel so bad for you Courtney getting a flat tire! It was nice your friends were able to help you out and get you back on the road. Many congratulations on your new job!
