Shop My Outfit:
Happy Monday! Since September will already be here on Saturday (which I can barely believe), I am finally ready to share my first transitional fall look…although realistically the weather here in Birmingham won’t be cooling down for a while. With the weather still warm, I like to still dress for the season, but in lightweight attire. I am all about patterns, especially florals. Believe it or not, you can transition bright florals into fall, too.
I wore this floral look on Friday to dinner. Jake had the day off on Saturday, so we went to dinner on Friday night at a popular new local restaurant, Blueprint on 3rd. Trying new restaurants is our favorite and we were very impressed with Blueprint on 3rd’s food and service. With Jake only getting 4 days off a month, anytime off time together is extra precious to me. I decided I wanted to wear florals on Friday, but also make them transitional. I wore this SheIn bodysuit. The key to transitioning florals is to add neutrals like black, brown, navy, or cognac. I decided to play up some of the black in the pattern. When it gets cooler outside, I will be adding a leather jacket like the one I did in these pictures.
P.S. This bodysuit is very low cut, so you have to be careful and add a top under it. It does run true to size, but I recommend pinning it.
