Spring is around the corner. The first official day of spring is March 20th, but in the south, it already is feeling like spring and starting to look like it as well. Every season this year, I’ve put together my seasonal bucket list and y’all seem to enjoy it, so I thought I’d round up my bucket list for this spring.
My Spring Bucket List
- Clean up our garden and plant some azaleas or hydrangeas: When we bought our home in Birmingham, seeing the azaleas in the spring made me instantly fall in love with the south.
- Add patio lights: I’ve always thought patio lights would be a perfect touch to make our patio more festive.
- Pick peaches: it looks like the closest spot is at least an hour and a half away, but I think this would would be the perfect day trip. This would make the cutest blog pictures too ;).
- Spring cleaning: although I’m not trying to do a ton of cleaning yet, since we are about to have a lot of construction going on in our house, I am trying to get rid of things I don’t wear (either donate or sell).
- Golf: we actually did this this weekend and cannot wait to go again when it’s a bit warmer.
- Mobile, AL Azalea Festivals/Hot Air Balloon Festival.
- Road trip to the beach: We’re only 4 hours from the beach, so I definitely want to go get some sun on the ocean this spring.
- Zoo: we haven’t been to the Birmingham Zoo and it’s definitely on my list.
- Hiking: although I’m not a huge hiker, Birmingham actually has a lot of scenery that I would love to see.
- A romantic picnic: There are several spots that would be perfect for a picnic in Birmingham. In fact, we even have a picnic table in our backyard.
- See cherry blossoms in Washington D.C.: this is a dream of mine. Although we probably won’t make it this year, I would love to go to D.C. soon.
What is on your spring bucket list?
Awesome bucket list!! We’re sharing some of the same things for sure! We tried to go to the zoo two weekends ago but it was literally so crowded that we couldn’t find a parking spot! Love your dress btw. Those muted colors are so pretty.

I’ve wanted to plant an herb garden and add flower beds every spring since we bought our house……this is year three. We’ll see if it happens haha.

Ahh I know. I keep saying I do too and haven’t.
Hi Courtney, very cute dress you are wearing!! I love the four different color tones and way it can be worn on or off the shoulder. Cute bow too. I am glad spring is coming , we are still deep in winter as you know! Azaleas or hydrangeas are so pretty and either or both will look good! Patio lighting is nice to have as you sit outside on a nice night. I have never gone peach picking but that will be nice to do. I guess it will be hard to do physical cleaning but it will be good to make room in your closet! I am really bad a t golf but I am glad you like to do it. I would like to try it again though. Hot air balloons are so lovely to see and come in a lot of different designs. The beach is not too far at all for you. Will be great to work on a tan! Hiking is good as you use some muscles you dont usually get to . I want to do it soon. A romantic picnic is so nice!! It is a little harder for us to arrange . I am sure there are some pretty spots to have it. I was in DC years ago and loved it, all the museums and landmarks. Cherry blossoms are so nice ! We need new flooring in our entryway, paint one of the kids bedrooms , plant some new flowers , Go on roadtrip , have some more datenights , drink some wine.. lol Have a great Tuesday Dear, Terri xo.

Hi Terri! Thank you so much for reading and your kind words. I am excited for spring and for it to stop raining hahah. It sounds like you have some lovely spring plans too. Loved the dress you shared today. Have a great weekend. Xo- Courtney
You are quite welcome Courtney! You were saying there was rain on its way in relation to hose fixing delays. We were due to go to Omaha but that plan has been put on hold until Summer at least. We have another city in mind for March though. Thanks on the dress compliments , it is pretty cute right? Have a beautiful Sunday Dear, hugs, Terri xo.

Yes, we finally have approval to start. I think next week will be pretty too. Crossing my fingers. I hope you get to go to Omaha, sounds fun. It really is. Happy Sunday.
Yay it will be nice to start the process of fixing your house Courtney. We are planning a trip still but Omaha is off for now, The friends we were visiting had something come up that weekend so maybe will get there in the Summer! take care, Terri xo.

It will be! Sounds like it might be a while though, the insurance company keeps delaying and being slow. Oh how fun! Glad you’re planning a trip and have friends visiting this summer.
Ugh, the insurance companies can drag things out Courtney. We are finalizing a trip for later this month , I don’t think we have friends visiting but we might reschedule Omaha for the summer. Take care Dear and happy Thursday, Terri xo.

Thanks Terri. Oh my goodness, I know! It’s heartbreaking. Our area wasn’t under any warnings, so I didn’t know about the tornados until the next day. Very sad.
It is heartbreaking. Praying they will find all the survivors in time. Was it far from Birmingham? Happy Wednesday, Terri xo.

I hope so too. Very heartbreaking. It was about 2 1/2 hours from us. We are thankful that we have a tornado shelter.
I want to see the Cherry Blossoms as well!

They sound so beautiful.
This is a fabulous bucket list! I’m so jealous you’re golfing already, haha. And if you do go to DC for the blossoms check out the National Arboretum…you can get some great photos in there with less crowds. (Going to the Tidal Basin is an experience, though, too!)

Thank you so much, Lindsey! It was really nice, but a tad bit chilly. I would love to go to the National Arboretum. Thanks for the suggestion. It sounds amazing.
Spring cleaning and romantic getaway is on my list too.

Ahh I hope you get to accomplish these two. 🙂
