I cannot wait to share a review on this bag soon.
Even though it’s been a weird year, I couldn’t miss the chance to take Scarlett to the pumpkin patch for a social distanced outing. It’s finally a lot cooler here in Birmingham, so we’ve been able to do a few outdoor activities. We went to Old Baker Farms last year when I was pregnant (I hadn’t announced yet-see post here) and it was so special getting to take Scarlett there now.
We decided to go on a weekday to avoid crowds as it was packed last year on a Saturday. I was glad we chose a weekday because it was very easy to distance. The farm is very large too. We just made sure to be very aware of our surroundings and distance from others, especially during photos. We also didn’t feel comfortable doing the hayride because masks/distancing weren’t required. We just walked and it wasn’t a big deal.
Although Scarlett is obviously too little to fully enjoy the pumpkin patch, we went to get some pumpkins for the front porch. With this crazy year we are really focusing on supporting local businesses more than big box retailers because we want to help our local economy.
One of the best parts of the farm is that they have chickens, goats and other animals. Scarlett was very curious and enjoyed looking around. She is at a really fun age and is such a happy girl. Of course one reason I wanted to go to the pumpkin patch was for pictures. What is cuter than a baby in a pumpkin patch? Now that we have a baby, Jake is way more on board with pictures. We didn’t get any full family photos this time because I didn’t feel comfortable asking for someone to get our picture. We got this precious little pumpkin dress with her name on it for fall photos. I couldn’t pass an opportunity to put her in it. I also used it for her monthly milestone pictures. She is now 5 months. I seriously cannot believe how fast time is going.
Speaking of pumpkins, I had to be basic and put her in a pumpkin for a picture since I know she won’t fit in one next year. Scarlett actually really enjoyed being in the pumpkin. It was so precious! I have a video on my Instagram account (here).
I cannot believe Halloween is this weekend. I will be sharing our family halloween costumes on Thursday. I also have a fun post with social distancing activities we’ve been doing on Tuesday.
I am excited to slowly get back into blogging. I’ve been taking plenty of pictures and have a lot to share. I will be keeping it simple and sharing as I can. I hope y’all have a great week!
She looks so cute in that pumpkin!

Hello Courtney, you are so right to go to the pumpkin patch during the week. It is important to keep Scarlett protected, and yourself and Jake also. She is such a cutie pie in her pumpkin dress💗 I am glad to hear that she is a happy baby it’s a win-win for you and her! Kids are always curious watching animals, maybe for the first time. Such an adorable picture of her in the pumpkin! We have had pumpkins every year and that is something I never even thought of doing when ours were younger. I hope you’re having a lovely day, take care, Terri xo.
