It was perfect for a night out on the town and covered two of my favorite trends: ruffles and embroidery.

The weather is still hot, but we are getting close to the transitional time of year. During this time I like to start dressing in dark colors, but still wear things that are light weight. This makes it perfect for the heat. I am also not ready to 100% give up bright colors  and the summer so this dress is perfect for right now. Plus, how cute are the ruffle sleeve details and the bright colors?

You maybe have noticed I put “embroidered” in quotation marks. It’s because it’s actually faux embroidery. You would never be able to tell unless you pretty much touch it. With the $18 price tag, I am definitely okay with that.

This dress is from SheIn; I have found the trick to shopping there is to pay attention to which sizes something comes in. If it ranges from S-L, I have found the item tends to run smaller. If there item is available in XS-L, I have found it runs larger. Shein has become my favorite retailer for keeping up with trends.

What did you do this weekend?

It is a wonderful embroidered dress on you Courtney. I love the bright flower design, keeping with Summer. The earrings match perfectly with the blue in your dress. I have checked out the Shein website lotspf cute stuff on there! We took a mini vacation from Thursday to Sunday. We went to a lake cabin with my in-laws. The kids got to do a lot of activities tubing fishing swimming and we got to relax a little. Have a wonderful day Dear, hugs, Terri 💗

Thank you so much, Terri! I love to pull out colors of a top or dress and match my accessories. Shein is great for when you need something trendy. That sounded like a fantastic weekend. I hope you have a blessed week.

Faux embroidery!? How cool is that! I’m not ready to give up bright colors. In California you can pretty much get away with it though. We don’t get a fall season really, just really dry and windy (sometimes it’s super hot still too)

I know! I literally didn’t expect it until I got it in the mail. It really isn’t noticeable, so I am okay with it. Its like a t-shirt that has screen printing.

I will never fully give up bright colors, I do wear a pop of color even in winter. I am not surprised. I would definitely wear bright colors all year in Cali.

That is such a cute dress! I love your bag too! I’ve noticed the same thing when it comes to Shein’s sizing. You have to pay attention to that. 🙂 And I never would’ve noticed it wasn’t actually embroidery either! It looks great!

Thank you so much for stopping by, Lindsey! Yes, I am so glad that i’ve finally been able to figure out how their sizing works. It’s still not perfect, but luckily they have a good return policy.
