Shop My Outfit:
Bonjour! We’ve been back from Paris for almost 2 months and it’s still on my mind. Our Paris trip really impacted me, as I find myself craving a lot of the foods we ate there (crepes, macarons, etc.) and I can also tell my style lately has been very influenced by our visit. I’m finding myself gravitating toward scarves (a staple in French fashion), especially after my lovely mother-in-law gave me this gorgeous one. She gave it to me the week after we got back and I immediately knew exactly how I wanted to style it. I have been dying to get this tulle ruffle skirt from Chicwish and even thought about buying it for our Paris trip. It didn’t seem practical for sightseeing, so I decided to wait. There is just something about the French style that is so chic, like adding a scarf. I love that this one is neutral and has metallics which make it dressy. It’s pretty oversized, so I had to fold it in half to make sure it didn’t cover my skirt up. This scarf can be styled many ways and I cannot wait to wear it in the winter, too.
I thought pairing the skirt and scarf together was the perfect touch. The pearl hair clip is really in right now, and I thought it was the perfect way to style this look. This beautiful photo location was a bit windy, so note to self: don’t wear a scarf for a windy shoot. If we were going to Paris in the late spring, I would would have had to pack this skirt. Like most Chicwish items, this skirt runs a little on the small size. I was glad it was fitted in the waist though. I highly recommend paying attention to the sizing charts. The quality of this piece is amazing and it’s worth every penny. This will be the first of many times I style it here on my blog and Instagram. It gives me major Carrie Bradshaw vibes. I can see myself styling it with a striped top, or I could even see it being worn in the fall with a leather jacket.
