Our Princess Themed Baby Shower

My mama and I.

My mother-in-law and I.

My sister-in-law, my nieces and I.

My grandmother and I.

I had my first baby shower in Texas on Valentine’s Day weekend. Incidentally, Valentine’s Day was actually my mom’s due date for me. If you’re new to my blog, I was born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas. My immediate family all lives in the DFW area and a couple of my high school/college friends still live in the area too.  Our shower was mostly family and close friends. It was so special to be able to celebrate our baby girl with so many special ladies who mean the world to me.

Since I’m having a baby girl, we went with a princess theme and a pink & gold color scheme. We did the event at a local country club on their patio space, and the room was beautiful. My sister-in-law was the main host and had a lot of the princess things from one of her daughter’s birthday parties. They decorated with pink tulle, pink and white flowers, and accents of gold.

I wanted to wear a dress to emphasize my bump, so I wore this empire waist ruffle dress. The dress is more of a dusty rose color. Looking back, I kind of wish I had wore something more pink, but I did like this dress a lot.

I shared some previews of the event on my stories and I’m excited to finally share all of the pictures here too. I’ll be taking this weekend off as I’m having my second baby shower this weekend; I can’t wait!  It’s so crazy that I’m already in the 3rd trimester now. If you missed my Monday post, I shared my second trimester recap here.

How exciting Courtney!! How nice to “go home” and meet all the ladies you know be it family or friends from growing up there . The princess theme is gorgeous , I think.they know you well. The dining table is amazing with the tulle and pretty flowers. I’m loving your dress, it is not pink but you did great with that beauty! You are a busy girl, another shower so fast. Your Mom is gorgeous alongside you, same for your Grandma and the rest of the ladies, take it easy,! Terri xo.
