I’ve officially been a mama for almost 6 months (Scarlett will be 6 months on the 14th). I cannot believe how fast time is flying. Before Scarlett came I had no idea how much my wardrobe would change as a mom. Pre-COVID, I worked outside of the house and wore “real” clothes almost everyday. Fashion has always been my favorite way to get creative and express myself. While sometimes I do miss having a reason to get dressed, it’s not practical/realistic for me to dress up most days. I have been living in loungewear sets and workout leggings most of the time. It’s quickly become my mom uniform.
The first several months of being at home, my casual mom wardrobe was seriously slacking. I finally jumped onto the loungewear trend and am loving it. I hardly had any cute loungewear since most of my clothes were for work. I wanted something that helped me feel put together, but that was also comfortable/practical for caring for a baby. I shared our Halloween costumes last week where I turned my leopard loungewear into a costume. I loved it so much that I also got it in pink. This set is cute, comfortable and helps me feel put together. It does run small, so I was glad I sized up. When the weather gets really cold, I can also pair the top with leggings too. I have also even worn this with tennis shoes to go on a walk. Also, just to be transparent, my mom uniform typically includes either no or minimal makeup and my hair is usually up. Scarlett loves to grab my hair by the handful (just like the bottom photo), so I keep it up most of the time.
