With everything that is going on right now in our world with COVID-19, self-care is more important now than ever. It’s important to find ways to do things for yourself to take care during a time of stress and uncertainty. One of my favorite things to do is an at home self-care day. With the extra time at home I am using this to really take care of myself and my skin. About a month ago I started using  Maelove’s Day Eraser Cleanser, NIA 10 Calming Serum, and The One Cream. Since I’m currently pregnant, I decided to go with a simple routine and of course consulted with my physician to make sure the ingredients were safe for pregnancy. I wanted an easy routine that I would keep up with that would make a difference with my skin.

My Self-Care Routine Order:

  1. The Day Eraser Cleansing Oil: This is a two-in-one product that will remove eye makeup and also cleanse your skin. This is the first step to my self-care routine. I take a few drops and wipe around my eyes with a cotton pad to remove eye makeup. Once your eye makeup is off, you then use a couple drops on dry skin and add water to take off your foundation.  I use a soft wash cloth with water to do this. It’s amazing to see your makeup quickly melt off before your eyes. It will even remove stubborn waterproof mascara and eye makeup.  Prior to using this product I was using both a makeup remover and a cleanser. It is amazing to take a step out of my routine and it doesn’t make my skin greasy. It also leaves me with fresh skin quickly.
  2. NIA 10 Calming Serum: I haven’t been regularly using a serum and was excited to add this to my routine. I use this product twice a day (morning and evening) on my face and neck. I have sensitive skin and this product has helped my skin become more moisturized and gets rid of redness and inflammation. It even helps with skin elasticity. This is the perfect base to apply before your moisturizer. The NIA 10 Calming Serum features Niacinamide (Vit B3), Zinc and White Tea extract.
  3. Maelove’s One Cream: This is the last step to my routine and is a great everyday long-lasting moisturizer that is lightweight and absorbs quickly. I use this during both day and night. It helps my makeup go on smoother and locks in extra moisture at night. I have sensitive skin and break out if I use heavy moisturizers. Luckily, this one doesn’t cause my skin to be greasy or break out. This cream is infused with probiotics to support the community of good bacteria on your skin.

I am loving my new self-care skincare routine with my Maelove products! What is your favorite way to practice self-care at home?

Self care is important as no Botox and hair color are getting noticeable. I hate to even say that as so many people are so sick which breaks my heart.
