Skirt: J. Crew Necklace: Kendra Scott Shoes: Sam Edelman
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! We had freezing rain all weekend, so we literally didn’t leave the house. I’m embarrassed to say, I wore my pjs all weekend. My husband was off Friday, thanks to his awesome attending physician. Jake was able to study a lot while I was at work, so we ended up having a nice little weekend in. Although it was a nice weekend, I was ready to get out of the house and go into work. It also gives me an excuse to dress up. 😉
Do you ever have those days where you love your outfit and it puts you in the best mood? Well, I recently I wore this outfit above and that’s how I felt all day. Shout out to my mom for giving me this skirt. I’m blessed with the cutest mom ever and she decided this skirt was too short for her. I gladly took it off her hands!
One of the trends that I’m loving lately is florals in the winter. I’m all about bright colors and patterns, so this screams Courtney. The key to making florals work for winter is how you accessorize the outfit. Adding tights and booties not only makes the outfit warm, but it also helps create a winter look . Accessorizing in black or tan is another way to make florals work in the winter.
What is your favorite trend right now?
When you are shopping, if you ever see any of those pretty skirts that are longer will you post a pic and where (for an older reader). I envy your shopping prowess!
Jaymi, yes absolutely!! I think a midi length would be adorable! I saw some at Dillard’s if I remember correctly. I have some cute midi skirts that I plan to share soon. 🙂
I love the skirt as well! I have a fashion question for you. We have new charcoal gray uniforms for work and are allowed to wear a red pump. Some people think that we should only wear nude hosiery with a red shoe, is that the only option or could you wear a sheer black? Or even a gray? Not tights!
Thank you! I think you could definitely do a black or even navy hosiery. That gives you a few options to kind of change your look up other than nude. I think a contrasting gray would work too.
Thank you. Some are saying only nude, but I don’t like that for work. Now I won’t have to! Thanks!
