Recently, Jake and I attended an event where the dress was business casual, so I thought it would be fun to share our work wear style tips. I also had a few requests recently to share more work wear, so this was the perfect opportunity.
We spend the majority of our week at work, so why not make your work wardrobe fun?
Courtney’s Work Wear
I work in marketing and my dress code is business casual. I like to add a bit of my personal style into my outfits as this makes me feel better. For me, that’s wearing a bright color, adding a statement piece (necklace, earrings, a scarf, a fun pair of shoes, etc.). My work has a 40 acre campus, so I make sure to wear comfortable shoes. When selecting a work outfit, I am careful about my lengths. I work with senior adults, so I really make sure my lengths are long enough. I aim for just above the knee, or I even love midi lengths.
Jake’s Work Wear
As a medical student, Jake either spends his work day in scrubs or business casual for a clinic day. (Sometimes I wish I could wear scrubs 😉 .)He typically goes for dark colored slacks and a button down collared shirt. His go-to brands are Brooks Brothers and Polo.
