Coffee Table | Bar Cart | Gold Mantle Vases | Coffee Table Books
Happy Fall, y’all! Lately I have been wanting to branch out and throw in some different content occassionally. If you followed me on Instagram before I started my blog, you know a lot of my content was home decor. This was 1) because we were newlyweds, so I was busy making our house a home, 2) I was nervous to post pictures of me on Instagram (I’ve definitely gotten over that lol), and 3) That was my main hobby before starting the blog. I had never had my own place before we got married, so this was so much fun for me.
With that being said, this week I’ve been busy decorating our home for fall as Jake was finalizing his residency applications. I haven’t done much decorating around the house, so it was fun to get back to an old hobby. It made me feel like myself again. Lately I have been so busy with this blog and it has made me limit some things I used to enjoy, but I am slowly getting back to doing them again (cooking, decorating, and hopefully getting back to painting).
When I decorate my home, my #1 focus is always the fireplace mantle. I believe this is one of the focal points of our home, so I try to change up our mantle for fall, summer and Christmas. I love fall, but I don’t want to go overboard, so the other decor I do is a front door wreath, a few pumpkins scattered through out the house, and I like to revamp our bar cart. I like to add fall textures like fur pillows and a fur throw. Most of this fall decor is from Target. I raided the dollar section!
I didn’t link everything, since there are so many items in the pictures. If you have any questions on where anything is from, feel free to comment or email me at lifeofamedschoolwife@gmail.com. Also, since this was way different than my typical fashion content, I’d love for you to comment and let me know what y’all think. I’m trying to make my content relevant to what’s really going on in my life.

Wow, your home is stunning! Love all the gold accents.
So sweet of you. Thanks girl.
Love it!! Fall is so much fun to decorate for and you did a fantastic job! 🙂
You’re the sweetest. Thank you.
Your home is BEAUTIFUL, Courtney! Wow! And you did a fabulous job of decorating for fall. I really love all your little pumpkins – they’re so glam! I’d want to leave them up all year. 🙂 And I really loved this kind of post! I don’t have much opportunity to decorate the places we live in – so, I live vicariously through other people’s decorating! I would love to see more posts like this!
Omg thanks, sweet Lindsey. I had so much fun decorating. I’ll probably do these seasonally as I do a little redecorating for big holidays.
Okay your house is THE cutest! Loving the Fall decor, I need to get it together and start whipping out the decorations! Totally snagging some of those cute items you linked!!
