Our precious Scarlett turned 6 months on Saturday! I cannot believe how fast time is going. Scarlett, you’re such a blessing in our lives and I don’t know how I would’ve survived 2020 without you. Being your mama has been my greatest adventure in life. Scarlett is so happy and loves to laugh. She is sleeping so well and we just dropped her night feeding. She finally has learned to nap for the most part. She’s obsessed with her feet, putting EVERYTHING in her mouth and never stops moving. She celebrated her first Halloween and got to take her first vacation to the beach.
We celebrated with this styled 6 month shoot, putting the Christmas tree up and getting her high chair out. She will try solids for the first time after her pediatrician appointment on Monday (she obviously didn’t get to eat cake). When I weighed her at home she was about 12.5 pounds. I’ll update that after we get an accurate weight and measurement from her appointment.
Times are weird, and although Scarlett will never remember this photoshoot and it’s more for our memories, I wanted to do a special photoshoot for the half birthday and will do another one for her birthday. I guess I spend too much time on Pinterest and got inspired by this post. She shares how to make a whimsical teepee. Scarlett cannot sit up yet, so I used her bathtub with blankets under it to prop her up. Jake thought this setup looked like her throne. I added some sentimental touches like the flowers on the teepee were from my baby shower decor and my flower crown was from my maternity photos.
