Floral Palazzo Pants

Happy Friday!  I am so excited because I am off from work today. I am flying down to see my family and going to my cousin’s bridal shower. An extra day off is much need! My poor hubby has to work this weekend, so unfortunately he will be home alone this weekend. I guess that’s part of med school 🙁

I have to share a funny story: the other day I was trying on outfits for an upcoming shoot and I didn’t think my hubby was paying attention. I tried on a white dress that was a potential Easter look and the dress was way too big and was super frumpy. I hadn’t even looked in the mirror yet and my hubby told me I looked like a Sunday school teacher. I guess at least he’s honest!

Date night is around the corner, so I thought I would share one of my recent date night looks. We already had our date since hubby is home alone, and no, I didn’t wear the “Sunday school teacher outfit.”

I wore these floral palazzo pants and this black body suit on our date. To be honest, I never thought I could pull off palazzo pants so I’ve avoided them. It wasn’t until I went to Target and “accidentally” ended up in the clothing section that I found these. I thought they were super cute and tried them on.

I think the key to palazzo pants is how you style them. When trying them on at home, I tried about three tops before I liked my outfit. With these, it was all about finding a fitted top to make it look like a jumpsuit.

The top that I am wearing is actually a body suit. I never in a million years thought I would try a body suit, but on that same Target trip I found this adorable ruffle one. I am going to have to invest in more bodysuits because it makes the shirt lay better tucked in. My husband wasn’t 100% in love with this look, but I loved it and that’s all that matters, right?

What are you doing this weekend?
