Outfit Details:
Unfortunately I didn’t make it to New York City Fashion Week, but it’s definitely on my bucket list. If I had attended, this is definitely an outfit I would’ve worn. All I would need is a leather jacket to wear on my shoulders and I would’ve been set. Lately I have been finding I am loving green for fall…specifically this emerald green tone. This color was in the top ten color palette for Pantone’s NY Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2018 color trend report. The color is close to what they’re calling Quetzal Green.
If you know me personally, you might be surprised to hear that green is my favorite color of the season right now. When we moved into our new home, the first thing I did was repaint our green kitchen. I guess the jewel tone of this green is what I love. It’s the perfect color for fall and I have a feeling it will be shown a lot this season.
I styled this fringe skirt with a lace cami and leopard pumps to dress it up. If you’re not attending fashion week, this look is perfect for a date night, dinner out with friends, a rehearsal dinner or medium dressy events. I could also see the skirt being worn to church with a different top or if you work at a creative office with a button down top. I can also see myself wearing a sweater with this skirt as it cools down. I love that this skirt can be dressed up or down. I know I will be wearing it on repeat all fall.
Sizing
I did size up in the skirt and wish I hadn’t. I would say it runs true to size. I thought it was going to run small, although the reviews didn’t specifically say it did. I had to pin it in with a safety pin and used the belt to make it fit correctly. After that quick fix, it was perfect.
What is your favorite color of the season?
What a fun skirt!! This outfit is so chic to me and I definitely agree–would’ve been perfect for NYFW. Love how this looks fallish but wouldn’t make you sweat!

Thank you so much. I would’ve loved to wear it to NYFW. Maybe next year. Yess that’s exactly what I was going for. It’s really hot here, so I’m dressing in fall colors, but light weight pieces. When it cools down I’ll add a sweater and maybe jacket to this look.
This is such a pretty skirt!! I love this color for fall!!!

Hi Courtney I hope your week is going good. I really love this unique emerald green skirt on you it looks so fun, they will definitely look good with a leather jacket or button down top. You better be careful going to Fashion Week in New York if they see your style they will have you working! You would totally fit in. I like butterscotch yellow for fall color. What do you think? I love the backdrop for your photos with the cobblestone streets and guessing it’s in Birmingham? Enjoy the rest of your day hugs Terri ❤

You’re so sweet! Thanks, Terri. It will be coming next week. 🙂 Yes, you should. It is a neat spot that I was excited to visit. It’s not a far drive either, so I bet I will take pictures there pretty frequently. There is also hardly any traffic on the road, so I only had to move a few times for cars. Jake was keeping a look out.
Aww I am glad Jake was keeping an eye out , very nice of him!
I have always love the dark emerald greens! So lovely!

I love jewel tones–your skirt is beautiful! My maternity wardrobe for this fall is limited, but I bought a burgundy top that I’m loving for transitioning to fall!
