Are you looking for the perfect weekend getaway? Recently, my hubby and I visited Denver, Colorado, as you may have seen on my most recent blog post here. I had never been to Denver before, and now I highly recommend it as a travel destination. It was so fun to escape reality, and we got spoiled staying at The Crawford Hotel located in Denver Union Station.
Denver is home to many charming areas. While doing research on where to stay, The Crawford Hotel jumped out and caught my eye. I had several recommendations to stay there and I see why now. Their philosophy is “like no other,” and that couldn’t be more true. It is truly like no other because you could honestly not leave the hotel the whole day and still have more than enough fun things to do.
The Crawford is located in the north and south wings of the beautiful and historic Denver Union Station. Union Station is absolutely gorgeous and, from the first time I laid eyes on it to the last, I was blown away by its beauty. It is the prime location in LoDo (Denver’s Lower Downtown area). The hotel only opened a few years back in 2014, and it flawlessly combines both new and old; the elegant look of the hotel harkens back to the station’s origins over 100 years ago, while all the modern features one would expect of a luxury hotel are seamlessly integrated without intruding on the historic visual features.
Since Jake was already down in Colorado, he checked in before me. While I was wrapping up my work day, I got numerous texts from him saying how it was the coolest hotel he’s ever stayed in. He was very excited to see there was a Nespresso machine in the room (I just got one for Christmas and am obsessed). I knew we had made the right decision and was counting down the minutes until I got there.Rooms/Bathroom :
You may have seen pictures of the room on my Instagram stories, but oh my goodness they are gorgeous! They are decorated very modern and are extraordinarily spacious. Our room was a loft style. Off to the side as soon as you entered the room, it had a gorgeous bathroom with marble details (my dream bathroom). Then straight ahead, it featured steps up into a spacious room. The decor was very modern, but had some exposed wood beams. Needless to say, it was so charming. The Crawford Hotel has different themes for each of their floors, so each floor can almost feel like you’re staying at a different hotel! Other floors feature rooms designed like sleeper cars from the old days of train travel, as well as Victorian-style rooms. I can’t wait to get back to Denver and stay on another one of the themed floors.Amenities:

One of my favorite parts of the hotel was the complementary Telsa car service within a 2 mile radius for hotel guests. I felt like a queen being dropped off in a Tesla in front of Larimer Square. Of course I had to get a picture 😉
• In-room iPad Mini loaded with The Crawford app
Retail:

The hotel features outlets for several of Denver’s most popular local shops, including the famous Tattered Cover Book Store, as well as 5 Green Boxes and the beautiful flowers at Bloom. I am a huge lover of flowers, so I had to stop and get my picture at Bloom.
Restaurants/Bars:

A delicious cocktail at Cooper Lounge
This was probably my favorite aspect of the hotel: there are a total of 9 different places to grab a drink or a bite to eat at The Crawford! For drinks, the Terminal Bar is the go-to for craft beers, while the Cooper Lounge features exquisite cocktails and wine, as well as an impressive view overlooking the rest of the station. After a night in the lounge, PigTrain Coffee Co. is a great way to get your caffeine fix before starting off your day the next morning. The food options are plentiful, too. Snooze features some of the best and most unique breakfast creations I’ve ever had; I enjoyed trying unique pancake flavors. For being in the middle of the country, Stoic & Genuine manages to serve up fresh, delicious seafood. Mercantile is a farm to table restaurant with many options as well as their own market, while Acme (New York style deli with some tasty sandwiches) and Next Door (American style food with unique Denver touches) are also great options. For dessert, they even have an ice cream shop! Milkbox Ice Creamery, famous for their iconic Little Man Ice Cream shop out in the Denver Highlands, brings their creative flavors to The Crawford.
If you’re planning a trip to Denver, I highly recommend staying at The Crawford Hotel. Stay tuned for my full guide on what to do in Denver soon.

Come visit for the escape, the city, the mountains, and one-of-a-kind charm. Stay for the community and livability. People are falling in love. Denver itself counts for pretty much all of the population growth in Colorado.
