Happy Monday! Valentine’s Day is around the corner. I’ve always loved this holiday because of the excuse to decorate with/wear all of the pink, red, and other girly tones. Plus, although I ended up being born on February 1st, Valentine’s was also my due day. My birthday was this last Friday, although it just felt like a regular day with Jake having to work nights. We celebrated in advance a few weeks ago, though.
This year, I’ve been especially into color-blocking with pink and red for Valentine outfits. I think the colors complement each other nicely/contrast well. They’re also perfect for a festive Valentine look. I also think a hot pink and red outfit would be so cute as well.
I wore this to a blogger brunch this weekend and couldn’t wait to feature it on here. I got this skirt a couple of years ago and sure have got my money’s worth. I’ve worn it so much! When I saw this top, I knew I needed it for the holiday because of the fun and flirty ruffle detail. It does run very fitted in the chest. Definitely keep that in mind depending on your bust size. It’s perfect for tucking into a skirt though, since it is a fitted top and tucks in well.
What are your Valentine’s Day plans this year?
I loooove that top! So cute! And I definitely remember that skirt on you! Such a great piece and it seems so versatile.
