Two embroidered looks in one week? It’s no secret that I cannot get enough embroidery. When I went to the Nordstrom Anniversary sale in Dallas, my mom found this fabulous cold shoulder appliqué top and I knew I had to copy her. I tend to do that because we have the same style.

While not all appliqués are my favorite, this one is beautiful and just my style.  The material on the sleeves is a thin mesh, so it is perfect for now or for early fall. Again, it has a little ruffle and a trumpet sleeve, so this just screams Courtney.

I get many comments about wearing a lot of dresses and it’s because that’s what I feel most comfortable in. When I find a top this fabulous, it’s a game changer. The details on the top with the scalloped edges are gorgeous and it looks expensive. I’m surprised to say that it is currently on sale for under $32 and is available in 3 sizes. It runs true to size. It is selling out fast, so I apologize if it’s sold out.

Also, on a different note residency application season is in full swing for the hubs. He starts his Sub- I (audition rotation) on Monday. It’s starting to get so real that Jake is getting close to finding out where he will match. We found out earlier this week that Jake is now ranked in the top quartile of his class, which means he has a good chance of being named to his medical school’s honor society. This man blows me away with how smart he is and how hard he works.

Lately, I’ve had a lot of people curious about residency as Jake is 6 months from finding where he matches. It made me realize that a lot of people don’t realize how how medical school/residency works. If y’all are interested in a guest post by Jake in the future please let me know let me know. Also any other blog post recommendations are always welcome.

Thank you, Candace <3 Yay sounds good! I am thinking about having him do a guest post in the next few months explaining how it works. Lately i've noticed a ton of people don't understand how it works and why would they haha.

Thank you so much, Cheryl! <3 I think I will have him do one after his audition rotation. Lately people have been asking about Jake and his residency and I can tell they totally don't get how it works. Some have thought graduating from med school means hes done with everything and will be making a full dr salary soon hahahahahah.

Your top is gorgeous! After these last two posts I want to go out and buy all things embroidered! 🙂 And that is awesome news about your hubby! I would be very interested in a guest post by him, as I am absolutely clueless on how this all works. And it’s actually a topic I’ve been questioned on a lot (how does med school work in the United States?) because we have a huge med school in Rosario.

Thank you so much <3 Hahah it's one of those trends that I just cannot get enough. Aw yay I will definitely have him put together a post after his audition rotation. I'm so excited to see there is some interest. It seems like everyone I've talked to doesn't understand how it works (and why should they), so I think it could be a good topic.

Very cute top Courtney! The pink flowers are amazing and go very nice with your purse and earrings. It is wonderful and exciting for you and your husband to find where he is going to be in residency. It would be nice to hear from him! Have a nice day dear, hugs, Terri xo.

Loved this post, Courtney!! First of all, that top is to-die-for 😍 I’m obsessed. And those sunnies. Cat-eye is my fave right now!! I’m so excited for you and your hubs. I know how hard it is and how many hours go into studying; and the sacrifices you have to make aren’t always easy, but you’re doing a great job, and you are absolutely killing it girl!!! You’re amazing 😘 XOXO, Lindsey @thedixiebellediaries
