Bringing Pink Into Fall

Shop My Outfit:

According to the New York Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2019/2020 Pantone Color Palette, pink is one of the hues that is going to be huge for fall/winter.  While I don’t normally think of pink for fall, I am here for it! I usually think of darker colors like reds, dark greens, black, brown and burgundy for fall, but I am excited about this unexpected Pantone. Pink is one of my favorite colors and I love to embrace it all year.

When I saw this gorgeous Chicwish cardigan, I knew I had to have it for fall and would wear it into winter as well. The cardigan is actually handmade and is amazing quality. It does run a little big, so I would recommend sizing down for a more fitted look. I didn’t size down, so I styled it with fitted pieces to balance it. To me, the key to brining a bright color into fall is to pair it with fall prints like animal prints or darker colors. This cardigan is a statement piece on its own and I cannot wait to pair it with jeans and a t-shirt.  I also plan to style it with a fitted simple little black dress. It takes a simple outfit up a notch. Although it’s still very hot in Birmingham, I couldn’t wait to share this piece. Right now I’m styling it with lightweight pieces.

Jake and I had the BEST weekend together. We went to our favorite restaurant on Friday for a fun date night, then had some friends over Saturday to watch football. We had a lazy Sunday getting organized for the week. We were out of town last weekend for Labor Day, so it was nice to have a lazy weekend at home. After his rough schedule last year, I feel spoiled when we get a full weekend together.

Stay tuned, I will be sharing a few of my favorite recipes lately per request on Thursday’s blog post. I am working on my fall content calendar, so please let me know if you have any requests. I am trying to do a balance between fashion and lifestyle posts.

Thank you sooo much! I don’t typically either, but I’m excited to see it being an “it” fall color. I thought the browns and black made it a little more seasonal.
