Shop My Outfit:
Happy July! Time is moving so quickly; I don’t know how it’s already July. Jake completed his intern year last week, and now he starts his first day of his anesthesiology training today. He has 3 more years of residency left. With summer in full swing, I’m excited to share this months “back to basics” post highlighting one of my favorite items of the season: summer bags. Ever since I was a teenager, bags have easily been my most favorite accessory. I am not sure why, but I have always been obsessed with them. Summer bags are also my favorite because they’re fun to change up with a tassel. When summer rolls around, one of the things I’m most excited to get out is my bags. I especially get excited to bring out my straw bags, and specifically this bamboo bag. To many of y’all, bags may not be the first ‘basic’ that comes to mind, but summer bags are perfect for finishing off a look and making the whole outfit come together. This bamboo bag has been the “it” bag for several years. Mine is actually a much more affordable version of the original one. I have definitely got my money’s worth.
When we were packing for our Rosemary Beach vacation, I tried to focus on not bringing too many bags this time. This bamboo one was the first to be packed because it’s so versatile. It can be perfect with a casual sundress, or even when you’re wearing something that’s in-between. This bamboo bag transitioned my Chicwish ruffle midi skirt into a resort look quickly. This skirt was perfect for a date night on the beach. We explored the area near The Pearl, which was walking distance from our Airbnb. After taking many pictures in this skirt, I realized I had it on backwards #bloggerproblems. Luckily I noticed it in time to get a few of it on correctly. This is one of my favorite skirts because it can be changed up so many ways. It runs true to size. It always gives me total salsa dancer emoji vibes.
