A Styled Valentine Tea Party + Outfit Ideas

Shop Our Outfits/Shoot:

I decided to go all out with our Valentine’s Day decor this year since we spend most of the time at home. Valentine’s Day has always been a holiday I love and look forward to. The pink, red, hearts, and all things girly make me so happy. Growing up I remember always being excited to decorate my Valentine box and give Valentines to my friends. Did you grow up with the tradition of decorating V-Day boxes? It was also my mom’s due date for me, so it’s no surprise I love it.

A fun fact that y’all may not know about me is that I collect MacKenzie Childs pieces and antique tea cups. My great-grandmother was very into collecting china and I always admired her beautiful pieces. My grandparents still have a lot of her collection. To be honest, I don’t get my special dishes out as much as I should. As I mentioned, I decided to go all out with V-Day decorations and did a balloon garland since my 30th birthday is on Monday. Recently I saw my dishes in my hutch and was inspired to set up a fun styled Valentine tea party for Scarlett and I. While she’s too little to appreciate it, she definitely enjoyed the balloons.

Of course we had to get festive with our outfits. I wore the gold version of my skirt in my 4th anniversary blog post (here) and also got it in the red. I thought it was perfect for Valentine’s Day and love the gorgeous details. It’s from Chicwish and it’s very high waisted, so I actually sized down and it still worked. I paired it with a white blouse to let the skirt stand out. It’s so feminine and perfect for Valentine’s Day. I LOVE baby clothes and dressed Miss Scarlett in a precious smocked heart dress.

Hi Courtney, good for you going all out for Valentines day! As you are spending a lot of time at home why not decorate nicely . I also love the pinks and reds! We did not grow up with the valentines box tradition, I would have loved it. That is nice that you were due to be a valentine baby! I love your tea set . I am sure your grandparents collection is equally as nice. You will be able to have annual tea parties with Scarlett as she grows up! Your red floral skirt is so pretty, I thought I had just seen that style recently! They are two nice items to have in your closet. This one goes well with the white blouse. Scarlett is so cute in her smocked dress. Sending hugs to you all, Terri xo.

Seriously, I need to start collecting MacKenzie Childs pieces. They are all SO pretty. Your outfits are fantastic too!! I’ve been eyeing that Chicwish skirt myself and just might have to pull the trigger. It looks amazing!
