On Friday night of our recent L.A. trip, we headed to Beverly Hills and West Hollywood after Jake finished his board exam. Ever since I discovered the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, it has definitely been a place on my bucket list.
I wore a little black jumpsuit because, when we packed, I had no idea what our plans were. When I think of Hollywood I think glam, but I knew we wouldn’t be doing anything super dressy so I went with something versatile. My black jumpsuit ended up being perfect for the occasion. I dressed it up with gold heels and statement earrings. The fact that it has pockets and the beautiful tie details on the sleeves make it one of my favorite pieces in my closet right now. I definitely will be wearing this jumpsuit all summer and into fall.
Our drive to Hollywood was really scenic; we drove by Sony’s and Fox’s studios where their films are made. I even saw an agency that I work with some, which I found pretty neat.
Our first stop in the Hollywood area was Rodeo Drive. Although I had zero intentions to make a big Rodeo Drive purchase, it was somewhere I have always wanted to visit. Being a fashion blogger, this iconic street was definitely on my must visit list. I did pick out a YSL bag that I decided I want to get once Jake is an attending physician in the far future 😉
After Rodeo, we met up with one of Jake’s best friends and his girlfriend at a Mexican restaurant in West Hollywood called Toca Madera. The restaurant had trendy decor and it was definitely a fun experience, especially the drinks. I got a margarita that was lit on fire, which was something I had never seen before!
After dinner, we headed to a bar by the Walk of the Stars. If you are on a time crunch when you visit L.A., I think you can absolutely skip this. I was honestly not impressed by the Walk of the Stars. Maybe we were not by the “A list” area, but I didn’t know who anyone was. I am glad we did not do it during the day.
Overall Hollywood was a fun experience. When we go back again I definitely would like to visit some of the studios and do a tour. I also really want to visit the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel.
If you’re planning to visit Beverly Hills soon, here is a guide I found helpful. Here is a guide I found helpful for West Hollywood.

Love this jumpsuit! Rodeo Drive is beautiful! I live about 45 minutes away from Hollywood and Beverly Hills. It’s nice to visit and see all the mansions and just take in that whole Hollywood experience.
Thanks, girl! It really was amazing. I loved to visit. Ahhh so jealous. If we had more time I would’ve loved to drive by the gorgeous mansions and do more in Beverly Hills.
Next time you’re in the area you have to do that! The mansions are unbelievable! Such a beautiful area.
That jumpsuit is beautiful on you!! I love how you styled it! And Rodeo Drive was a must-do for me too! (I didn’t make any purchases either, haha.) I agree with you too – I wasn’t all that impressed with the Walk of the Stars.
