Shop My Dresses:
Oversized hats, ladylike sundresses, champagne, mint juleps, southern gentlemen, bow ties and everyone dressed to the nines; the Kentucky Derby is known as the most exciting two minutes in sports for a reason. Jake and I had the pleasure to attend 4 years ago and plan to go back someday soon. While we are not actually attending this year, I couldn’t miss the chance to style two Derby looks. The Derby is Saturday (May 7th) and is one of my favorite days for fashion. We’ll actually be in Las Vegas, so I plan to bring my fascinator.
Both of these dresses are from Chicwish and are so gorgeous. Can you tell I’m into blue and white right now? I styled the long sleeve with a turquoise fascinator and the short sleeve with the pink hat I wore to The Kentucky Derby (see post about when we attended here) 4 years ago. The tie strap dress runs a little big. I got my regular size and could’ve sized down for a tighter fit. It still worked though. The long sleeve runs true to size and I might wear it for some family photos soon. It’s very flattering and beautiful for spring.
Which look is your favorite? Are you more into the hats or fascinators? We hope to attend The Derby again someday soon .
