2020 Family Christmas Pictures/Traditions

I cannot believe Christmas is a little over a week away! Earlier this month I convinced Jake to take some family pictures. He doesn’t love blog photos, but he is much more on board now that we have Scarlett. I had found this adorable location last year and knew it was closed on the weekends, so we’d have the spot to ourselves. The skirt I had planned to wear didn’t come in time (it literally came right as we got home), so I had to change up my outfit. I knew Scarlett would be wearing this red Santa dress, so we coordinated our outfits around her. I wore this winter white dress to break up all of the red from Jake and Scarlett’s outfits. We bought Scarlett’s dress on sale when I was pregnant and unfortunately it’s really big. I don’t advise trying to guess their size so far ahead like we did.

With Scarlett’s first Christmas around the corner we are starting to think of traditions. Growing up we did Christmas Eve with my grandparents and Christmas Day at home with my immediate family. Jake’s parents do a scavenger hunt at the end where they hide some gifts and give clues to each one’s location, with the final present being the biggest/best/most desired gift on their Christmas list. We will definitely be continuing this tradition when Scarlett gets older. I want to add new ones like maybe making cookies as a family on Christmas Eve for Santa and wearing matching pjs. What are your family Christmas traditions?

Hi Courtney , I love the location for you pics with the festive wreaths and the white doors ! Such beautiful family pics of you, Miss Scarlett is so cute in her red dress, you cant tell in the pics that it is oversized . I can see how happy she is. Great job by Jake taking part in more blog pics , he looks good with the casual look. I really like you ion that dress , great to wear white/cream this time of year! Pity your skirt didnt get there on time , I know they are so busy delivering this year. We bake cookies on black Friday , kids love it. The scavenger hunt sounds fun ! Have a great day Courtney , Terri xo.
